The six-question link check
- Does the offer appear in the game or on a publisher-controlled website?
- Is the domain spelled correctly, without strange extra words or characters?
- Is the offer dated, and does the stated end time still apply?
- Does it ask for a password, recovery code, payment card or app installation to “verify” a free gift?
- Does it promise unlimited currency or a guaranteed rare item with no clear terms?
- Can you leave the page and find the same offer independently?
A stranger requesting your password or two-step verification code is not a legitimate requirement for receiving a public game reward.
If you already opened a suspicious link
Do not enter additional information. If you supplied account details, go directly to the platform’s official account settings through your own bookmark or app and follow its account recovery and security instructions. Review sessions, recovery options and any unexpected transactions using official support. A parent or trusted adult can help a younger player contact the platform.
